About Brian g art
Ok ... I am an Artist from the UK , creative, hard working dedicated ,sincere. I need your support to develop my practice,to help me grow and flourish.I have two exhibitions coming up, as lead artist in a group show titled Worth Fighting For? http://www.salisburyartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/Event.aspx?EventID=1461 and a solo show at 44AD Gallery Bath which is where I am based . Both bodies of work stem from my passion for music and art ( I co founded the fanzine Deviation Street back in 1977 when I was just some kid photographing bands on the scene that happened to include the likes of The Clash ,Ramones and Talking Heads ) I even joined a band as a vocalist ! That early DIY punk ethos still forms part of my core values , raw and untutored creativity can be incredibly powerful . After much thought I made the chioce to study , starting with graphic design followed by art therapy and finally chossing a fine art path. I know what it is to be on both sides of the fence My Goal is to pursue my art full time ,financially this is just not possible without the support of others and that includes people like you. My art comes from within but i am fascinated by whats going on out there in the world . I create and exhibit work, write on the theme of marginal and outsider art and run creative workshops for adults and children of all abilities .I love the interaction with people and continue to be amazed by what other people create . I am deeply fascinated by where people are coming from and where they are on the creative spectrum at any given time. Art is a visual language that needs to be visible and so its important to me that the good stuff gets put out into the world and is shared with others . I have supported and continue to support those who face barriers in the art world and have many years experience of working with Deaf adults with additional needs.

My goal is to make a paradigm shift . To move from the position of artist working part time to being a full time working artist. Creating work ,exhibiting ,running workshops ,developing projects . To put my work forward to make my visual language visible. In practical terms this means setting up a studio space buying equipment and networking.
