My works are delicate and sensitive with an aggression of stroke. Currently my new works are in the media silverpoint my goal is to make drawing more permanent and less fragile, and historically to bring an ancient from of drawing into the contemporary platform. I am working with silverpoint on gessoed luan board. I am now working on a series of figures. In my Entwined series consist of one to two figures. The figures are series of equally supportive embraced union of two individuals in rest and creative contemplation. Each image is in the act of contemplation of creation- sitting, lounging, thinking, and gazing. Each image has one to two figures in an equally coupled symbotic embrace. Stepping the viewer out of reality into a romantic dream like magical setting.
Goals
$0 of $1,500 per month
My goal is to set up a studio where I can logistically work on a Magical Forrest series. My medium is Silver point . My work is large scale.
It requires sanding and coats of gesso in the preparation of the surfaces. I need a studio and funds to create my next series.
I have recently won a Drawing Finalist Williams Prize in Drawing and the Peoples Choice Award at the Appleton Museum of art Drawing Biennial Exhibition.
I want a space an more time to create, I promise if you fund me I will prove to be an asset.
Together you will help me to be able to fund my art and to give me time to further my plan for the creation of my next large scale series .
