Justin Rushdeis creating Still Digital Photography of Abandoned Places
About Justin Rushde
Five years ago I took my family's unused Nikon 2020 out on a walk around my neighborhood. Getting the photos back from the developers revealed shots of forgotten garages, rusted factories and shuttered shops. I knew I'd found a passion, capturing abandoned places before they fall or are torn down. I travelled across the country documenting America's forgotten places. To the silent mining towns of Pennsylvania, to the ramshackle homesteads of the Colorado Rockies and the patina'd ghost towns of New Mexico. I want to go farther and for that I need your help. Right now I'm in-between jobs and would really like to focus on my photography full-time. Your support will allow me to take journeys across country and maybe even across the world. Visiting forgotten places and documenting them before they're lost to time and sharing them with a wider world that may never get a chance to see them. Whatever you want along the journey I can give you. Audio/Visual log, journal entries, your own copy of the prints? We can work something out. Any donation would be appreciated and would allow me to finally fulfill my purpose in life.
