Fan-work typically was never intended to pay the bills.

But when your entire social life all but revolves around fans of the fan-work you produce, sometimes it seems like you have to make a choice about what you do when it comes to your goals in real life and the expectations of your fans.

I, Admiral Tigerclaw, am here to take some of the stress off such a situation.  I am the author/writer of the fan-story 'Sleeping With the Girls'.  The extended progression of a simple 'what-if' question I asked myself when I wrote the first chapter back in 2010.  'What if I woke up in the bed of one of my favorite fictional characters?  How do I react?'

Since then, the story has grown to encompass an entire plot line spanning a planned three 'volumes' and has exceeded a word count of over 400,000.  To put it bluntly,  the combined word count for this 'fanfiction' in progress almost exceeds the length of The Lord of the Rings.  The Trilogy, not any one book.

Since copyright law requires one to jump through more rings than an average playthrough of a Sonic the Hedgehog game if one wishes to sell work based around existing properties...  And since this story borrows more existing intellectual property across more owners than GOD, it is unlikely this story would ever see print in the official sense.  Thus, my chances of making a living off it in a conventional sense are slim-to-none.

But that's where my fans come in.

As a patron, you will help support my continued efforts to finish this story.  I don't want to stop, I don't PLAN to stop.  I've written too much and have too many people who have come to see this as viable entertainment.  The more patrons I have, the less I stress about the roof over my head and the power to the computer that makes the written words that later appear on your screen.

Consider a monthly donation of ten to twenty dollars.  For the cost of a night out to eat, you can help support me for thirty...

Consider also supporting me not just for a fanfic, but for an original work I'm planning.

As a patron, consider yourself first in line to see the beginnings of 'Magical Girl'.  A story about, you guessed it, Magical Girls.  But with a twist of action/suspense that looks into many of the classical tropes surrounding the genre, and attempts to have them make sense.

"Where'd that locket come from?"
"When did she learn that attack?"
"Why the outfit?  No really, WHY THE OUTFIT?"
"How come nobody in the middle of one of the most populated cities in the world seems to notice or react to monster attacks?"
"How come those that do always seem woefully under-prepared despite lots of planning time, intel, and warning?"
"If it bleeds, can normies kill it?"

And many other, deep questions.
