Hello, my name is J.B. Ramirez and I suppose you could say I am a graphic "artist", of sorts (among other things), I'm entirely self taught and have no kind of formal training or credentials what so ever so that's my disclaimer letting you know what your in for with me, anyway I like to draw and sculpt (among other things again) and I deal mostly with monsters and weird creatures/characters (mostly), comix, cartoons, stop-motion puppets and other silly stuff leaning for the most part in a spooky horror, "corn on the macabre" pop junk culture direction (among other things yet again!).
There was a time when I was actually able to make a decent living doing this sort of "thing"(can you believe it!?) way back at the end of the last century and in the early 2000's but since then "things" have gotten a bit "hairy" for me (to say the least!) and not in a good way! Oh well, what goes up must come down, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, you can't win em all etc... I'm not complaining though, I've had my little taste of "success" & fun fortune (ever heard of the video game "Halo"? I worked on that!) and I don't consider myself "above"  eeking out a humble halfway decent (or not so decent) living pumping gas or digging ditches ( you know doing REAL work!) if I could only get that kind of a job but apparently no one is willing to pay me to do anything like that around here (where I live) anymore!
I know what you might be thinking... "So why don't you go somewhere else then?", well it's not that simple & easy and for personal reasons ( I won't go into now) I'm sort of "stuck" where I am, a sort of "shut-in" basement hermit type character these days becoming more & more like the weird-o "things" I like to dwell on and draw I suppose, heh heh.
So anyway as it turns out I guess I'm not very good for anything other than daydreaming & drawing goofy stuff and making my little stop-motion-ey puppets or making a lot of racket on my guitar (When i can get away with it!)  I guess I shoulda paid more attention in school and I'm certainly not getting any younger, it seems my options are very limited so the clock is definitely ticking on my ass!
It would be nice to do something worthwhile before I kick the bucket like getting some of my characters and stories and other ideas out there for people to check out (& hopefully enjoy!).
And that's why I am here on Patreon, I figure I should give it one last try, "Fantom Eye" is the moniker I would like to use for my collective work and it would be nice to be able to build up a little workshop/studio with halfway decent equipment to keep pursuing efforts in comic book storytelling and animation & all that jazz or at least maintain and keep working with what I still got and get up enough $$$ for a new pair of boots before the winter comes (boo-hoo), it gets COLD out here!
One last try is all, and if no one likes any of this junk then the Hell with it,  at least I tried!
Thank you for your time and attention...

Goals
$0 of $1 per month
My first goal is to try an generate interest and build an audience for  my first two comic book series, "FrankenCreep" and "Darkly Desired". I do not have any sort of monetary figure in mind as of yet but I will itemize and tabulate the cost of equipment etc... that I am in need of shortly.
