About David Brazee

Hello everyone!  My name is David Brazee and I'm a college student, ABA Therapist at a group home for kids with autism, and night-shift custodian.

But most importantly to me over the course of the last year has been my journey into astronomy and ultimately, astrophotography.
At the beginning of 2016, I moved into an apartment with my girlfriend in a small town of 3,500 people in Connecticut from a moderate sized town of 32,000 further down the valley. One night as I was getting home from work, I took a second to look up in the sky for the first time in a few months and noticed how many stars I could see.  Early in my life I could see Orion's belt and the 'Big Dipper' that are iconic in the night sky, but here, I couldn't even begin to count how much I could see.  I could see hundreds and maybe thousands of stars I never noticed before.  Something clicked in my mind and said to my girlfriend, "I want a telescope."  I started off with simple starfield shots with a cheap Walmart tripod, but after 6 months and hundreds of hours of imaging and setup, I've gotten to what you see below.

Now I am here asking others to support the hobby I love to spend my nights doing.  I've had many requests to sell prints or other mediums for my photos, but I feel like that cheats people out of the process portion of it; all the imaging and calibration and post-processing that takes hours and hours to complete for each image.  I want people to know that they are supporting my adventure through this.  With your support, I can bring more of what you want to see more consistently and with better quality as I move forward. I appreciate any support you feel is appropriate, if any.  In the end, I do this to feel the satisfaction of creating something to share with everyone.  Thank you taking the time to visit my Patreon page!

At this goal, I can pay off my website for the year and put extra money towards accessories.
