About Scott Aric Mills

Hello and welcome to the Scott Aric Mills Patreon primary interface!

Who are you?

I'm Scott and I make books and comics.

What's your deal?

I'm a writer and cartoonist. I wrote the short novel Supertsar, the Xeric award-winning mini-comic Cells, and the Ignatz award-winning graphic novel Trenches.

What are you working on now?

I've just completed the scripts for the final chapters of Terrible: Tsar Ivan IV- a graphic novel illustrated by political cartoonist Art Hondros- which I will be designing and lettering. I'm currently writing and illustrating the full-color graphic novel Copstopper, and chipping away at the massive sci-fi comic Extragalactic. And I've begun laying out my next prose novel, a sci-fi adventure loosely based on the life of 16th century missionary Matteo Ricci.

Wait- Copstopper? That sounds... contentious.

It may be! Copstopper is the story of Denton Westwood, a Portland teen who dresses up in a superhero costume and defends people from the police. Think, maybe, Kick-Ass meets The Catcher in the Rye.

So you seem relatively prolific. Why haven't I heard of you?

I've been writing and drawing for over 20 years. I think I'm starting to get the hang of it!

I work on books and comics an average of 5 to 10 hours a day, every day.

What do you want from me?

Your kind wishes and generous patronage. Even a pledge of 1 dollar a month helps the cause.

Every bit of money I receive through Patreon goes to art supplies and towards keeping me from being homeless. And every bit helps. Pledge today and help an artist make art!

I'm in!
