When I was in college I minored in music – but left it for 50 years. After a 35 year stint of computer programming – at age 73 I became a full time composer.
From personal experience I can say that if you are motivated, you can come back!

I compose choral works, and other vocal works, including Performance Art theater, Art songs, an occasional string quartet. I studied with V. Peterson who taught me theory and counterpoint. Studying now with Daniel Felsenfeld, and writing an Opera with chamber orchestra in the style of Richard Strauss. Three of my classical works were performed by Peterson's Choral Chameleon choir. Five of my Art songs have been recorded, currently by Paul An singing Langston Hughes' lyrics. And in March 2018 Joy Hermalyn sang "IOU" based on a short story by Scott Fitzgerald. I am currently working on a multi-media project: a Sarabande for unaccompanied Mezzo and dancer{s}. Having lived most of my life in the 20-th century – I feel ready to take on the 21-st. I hope you’ll enjoy taking this journey with me.

In the Intro video - you'll hear my first choral work "Red Seal"  sung by Choral Chameleon conducted by Matthew Oltman - still my favorite.
