If I don't know you already, even with the thank you message you receive, I still want to say thank you personally and at least talk to you, and answer any questions you might have about me, or what I'm trying to do here! Also, during any videos or livestreams, I will personally thank you again, and tell everyone how cool of a bro you really are. Add me on facebook, talk to me whenever you want, I want to make this as personal and ridiculous as possible for you. I'll also do my best to keep you all in the loop of what I'm currently doing, and answer what questions I can!
per month
Anytime I livestream games, if you want to hop in with me, I'll always invite as many of you as I can. If it becomes an issue of having a lot of you, I'll just start a list to keep it fair and organized. Feel free to hit me up with questions about Cosplay/gaming at this point too, and I'll always get back to you. If it's something I can't answer personally, I will find the answers for you!

I'll fly to your house and tickle you for a small fee! Just kidding... maybe.

I will help you personally every week for at least an hour answering questions, directing you to in depth explanations on Cosplay/Gaming, even sit in a skype call and chat about anything you want to know! Obviously, this could become a problem very quickly if enough people want this type of one-on-one interaction, so it will be a limited number of spots. Not going to worry about it right now, but just a future warning!

Also for the time being, if there's only a handful of you, I'll always try to dedicate more time to each of you personally, as a thank you for supporting me at the time you have.

About Nathan Stavang

I've been contemplating this for a long time, and recent events have shifted how I feel on trying to make a huge change in my life, and my career. I've always felt like the gaming and the creative sides of my life could be more than just a hobby, but that leap of faith is a terrifying thing.

I put myself to the test with making my very first Cosplay last year, it was Guts from the Manga/Anime Berserk. In two months time I finished the entire thing with the assistance of my girlfriend, and went on to win Best in Show for Alaska's largest Convention, Senshi-Con.

In hindsight, I'm a little embarrassed that I knew so little about the methods of creating cosplays, and could have done so much better. But we live and learn right? Since then, I've delved much deeper into the art of creating and learning Cosplays, and am proud to have made such progress.

I've always been a hardcore, competitive, active gamer as well. It's something I have loved since I was in diapers, and always will love. Diablo, Starcraft, WoW, Halo, Quake, Unreal Tournament, League of Legends, DoTA, you name it... I've probably played it, and probably played it at a high level of play as well. I live for gaming, it's part of what makes me... well, me.

Between the gaming, the cosplay, and the intensity at which I pursue both of those, I've learned that it's who I want to be, and how I want to live. I dabbled with college, I've had plenty of jobs, all of which I've enjoyed, but it just doesn't feel like anything I'd want to spend my life doing. Even as I write this, I can't believe I've finally committed to going through with this.

Support me, and I will give back anything and everything with what I've learned and love.

Things I want to do: It will be mostly Cosplay oriented with the future commission work I have lined up, but there's much more I'd love to transition into!

Cosplay related:

1.) Updates on my current projects, explanations on how each piece was created, and the materials used! If a project I'm working on becomes popular, or you as a supporter personally want to know things, I can provide templates or whatever you guys want. I've learned a lot, and will always learn new things, so I'd love to share it with all of you too.

2.) Commission work! What I take on will be what I know I can handle. I will never take a project where in my mind, the first thought is "yeah I can probably do that." Cosplay commissions are not easy, and if I take one on, it will be with 100% guarantee that I can do it. Commissions will be on a case by case basis, but with enough support, I could do lot of work with significant discounts. I personally believe with enough revenue, covering the cost of materials will usuaully be enough for most simple or intermediate projects. Working off a salary to make art for your enjoyment? Uhh, yes please! After all, being set up here is getting the support to make a lifestyle a reality, so it'd be the least I could do!

Disclaimer: Of course there will always be the project that's so crazy that it may be a price in itself, but I would not take it on unless I can do it 100% to your specifications. I'm getting good, but there are those in this world that can still put me to shame. Still, I'm open to a lot of things!

3.) Cosplay Tutorials! There's a ton out there, and a ton of good ones, but sometimes there's a particular method that just doesn't have a lot of coverage. Whether it's craft foam, Worbla, Wonderflex, EVA foam, or what have you, I have a pretty strong knowledge of it all. If you just can't figure something out, or you want to know how I do things, I will always be more than happy to help.

In closing, I've had a strange turn of events with some medical issues, that have not yet been determined. It's actually what made me realize that it's now or never for trying something crazy and different with my life. I've been out of work for awhile now, but recently have been giving it a shot again to see if my body with cooperate. It's been a long healing process but I'm determined to try anyways.

Without the support of my family, I never would be able to afford the appointments and testing. It may be resolved tomorrow, it may never be resolved, it's hard to say and I'm just as uncertain as the doctors I visit. This isn't a plea for help, but more to let everyone know that my current situation has driven me to want to be able to repay my loved ones for everything they've done for me so far. So in essence, this is kind of a surprise that I hope flourishes for their sake. It's also made me realize that life is a fickle, unpredictable thing, and we should make every moment truly matter. And, let's be honest... what better way to repay my family by doing what I love, to in turn support them instead.

Thanks for reading, truly.

A good start, and will mean more time dedicated to what you, as supporters want to see. More cosplay? Sure. More tutorials? Yes. I'll do what I can to do what you want to see!
