I write about gay high school and college boys, but follow some of my characters from the 1980’s up into the present.  My goal has always been to show gay boys in a positive light.  Some of my books are about the experience of being gay, while others merely have characters who are gay. Some of my novels, such as Dead Boys of Verona and Marshall Mulgrew’s Supernatural Mysteries delve into the supernatural.  Others, such as Cadets of Culver and Benji & Clyde are historical.  Many, such as Temptation University and Bloomington Boys: Marc tell a tale that plays out over the background of sports.I’ve even written a fantasy novel, The Heart of Graymoor.

My novels are meant to entertain, but help many readers of all ages feel better about themselves.I’ve even received more than one email that began with something like "I was thinking about killing myself, but then I started reading your books..."I’m a writer who loves to tell stories, but I’m aware that my novels do have the potential to help others. That is why I want to keep writing as long as I can.

Why am I seeking patrons? The answer is simple.I do not make enough money to pay the bills. I need the help of patrons to keep going.

What do you get out of it (beyond the knowledge you are supporting my work)?  I regularly make patrons-only posts that include: excerpts from what I’m writing (usually that very day), photos of locations used in my books, information on the writing process, the stories behind the stories of my novels and characters, and more.If you support me at the $10 level and live in the U.S. (sorry, I can’t get this to work outside the U.S.) you get a Kindle copy of every new book as I publish it.  At the $20 level, you get to name a minor character and even give me some details for him (or her).  At the $50 level (which is usually full) you get to do the same for a major character. The slots for the upper two levels are very limited because I can only work in so many characters per novel. In addition, as a patron you hear about upcoming books first.I actually announce new novels the very day I began developing them.  Being a patron allows you to be inside the process.

I hope you’ll support me, but even if you don’t check my Patreon page now and then.I make some public posts as well as patron posts.

Hear About It First
$2 or more per month

You'll hear about new novels the very day I begin writing them and receive status reports on how the novel is progressing and changing along the way.   I'll also let you know about other projects, such as audio book versions of my books and you'll hear it all before anyone else.

Early Access
$5 or more per month

In addition to the above, you'll get to read select scenes from the novel I'm currently writing at least twice a month.  Don't worry, I won't give away too much of the plot, but you'll get a look at what I'm writing, the very day I'm writing it, from the first to final draft. Now and then, I’ll also send out .jpg photos of locations used in books, which will let you see exactly what some of the locations look like

eBooks
$10 or more per month

Note: This is available only to those who have an Amazon.com account since Amazon will not allow me to send a gift book to those with Amazon.uk or other Amazon accounts (I have no idea why, but I'm told it's impossible).

All of the above, plus you receive my newest books as they are published in Kindle format, the moment they are released.  You’ll also be listed as a patron in my future books. Pledge level must have cleared for the previous month to qualify.

Name a Minor Character
$20 or more per month only 1 left

All of the above, plus if you stick around at least three months, you get to name a minor character, pick their hair and eye color and some of their interests.  Feel free to put yourself in the book.  If you keep sticking around, you get to do the same for each new novel. I publish at least two novels a year and as many as six!

Name a Major Character
$50 or more per month (sold out!)
