Hey!

If you're here it's probably because you like our art and support what we do. Thanks for that! We decided to start a Patreon account as a way to give the people who support us something back in return and as a way to use the content we create to be able to produce more content. We have a bunch of interesting projects in the works that we're really hype about, and we hope that this Patreon will help to fund them.

As most artists who have been in the game as long as we have, we've had our ups and downs in regards to the "fine art" and "commercial art" worlds. While doing design jobs and art exhibitions has never been anything we've actively sought out, on occasion, through a combination of our personal projects, social media and word-of-mouth, sometimes opportunities come our way. A lot of them we turn down for personal/ethical reasons. The rest, while we wouldn't consider them as the sole means by which we fully support ourselves, are quite helpful in sustaining our lifestyle and allowing us to pursue our travels and adventures and work on projects that are meaningful to us.

While we've had some super positive experiences working with people/companies/institutions, we've also have had a few experiences that have left us a bit disillusioned with the idea of taking on more of this kinda work, especially recently. It's nothing short of insanity to us how artists are expected to spend their own time, energy and money to work on a project, only to then have to spend the months after the work/project has been completed hunting down their pay. It's such a negative and disheartening thing to constantly be given the runaround over money (often petty amounts in the grand scheme of things too, but it adds up) and to have to start every day writing emails/sending messages/making phone calls to chase down artists fees and invoices due, only to then be told you're "aggressive" for simply wanting whats rightfully owed (::eyeroll::). In the end it's as much about respect as money, and we're pretty over the way it's been normalized for creatives to be treated with this kind of disrespect within the framework of the corporate and institutional art world. Im sure a lot of you that work in creative fields can relate to this sorta thing, unfortunately it's way too prevalent within the art/fashion/design world these days.

Which got us to thinking, we kinda don't even really care about doing most of this kind of work. Especially when chasing down payment more often than not becomes a whole additional (unpaid) job. Like, we really honestly don't give a fuck about the hype or clout of working with or for anyone, all we actually want to do is paint graff and travel and have fun with our friends & each other, while working on our own projects that we find meaningful and fulfilling.

For years, people have been telling us we could/should use crowdfunding to support our art and lifestyle. And tbh we were always a bit skeptical. Traditional crowdfunding sites can be great for certain things in our opinion (a big project or business venture, medical bills, etc), but for our needs they felt a bit extra and almost like internet-begging. We personally never felt comfortable with the idea of taking money without giving anything in return directly, especially for a reason that wasn't a dire emergency. So we never thought seriously about this kinda thing until this past month when several people in our lives (unrelated to each other) brought up the idea of using Patreon to help support our art & projects. After looking into it a lot, we decided that it actually seemed like a good fit for us. We liked the idea of having the people who want to support us be able to do so, while also getting something special/exclusive in return. The fact that it's subscription-based, with constant content updates and perks for subscribers just felt like a more natural give-and-take than traditional crowdfunding sites, and something that fit our lifestyle and personal ethics.

To be clear, this page isn't meant to replace our IG. We appreciate everyone who supports us in any way, and we would never want to penalize anyone for not supporting financially. Our IG will stay as it is and has always been. We plan to use this page as a way for people who are willing and able to support us more to receive more content in return for that support, including unseen videos, photos & behind-the-scenes stuff, extended versions of our IG stories (with extra footage that isn't on IG and that won't disappear after 24 hours), flicks from the vault and whatever else we are doing/working on that we think is cool.  With time (and fingers-crossed, with the success of this page) we hope to produce some longer videos exclusively for this page. Honestly, this is all new to us and we're excited to see where it goes, and we thank whoever decides to be a part of it!

Photo of the Day
$1.50 or more per month
Thanks so much for supporting. At the risk of sounding corny, every little bit helps in a big way and means a lot to us! This Tier consists of random photos of our work/lifestyle. Our intent is to post every day, but to be on the safe side let's say every 1-3 days (we'll try to post every day but sometimes it's hard with shitty wifi while traveling, if arrested or other life drama. If we know ahead that we'll be without wifi for over 5 days we will just post the week's content all at once, so no one'll feel like they got cheated or missed out on content.) Photos can be anything involving our life and our work, ranging from unseen cutting room floor edits to throwbacks to submitted content of our work to travel snapshots of our adventures. Will be a similar vibe to our IG feed, but updated more often and with different photos of course. Forever Spraycation!
Exclusive Content
$5 or more per month
Thanks for choosing the Exclusive Content Tier! We appreciate the support so much, seriously. This is the best tier in our opinion as it includes not only everything from the Photo Of The Day tier but also access to constantly updated exclusive photos, video clips and behind the scenes looks. Also included are exclusive previews/first looks at new materials before they're available anywhere else and access to a selection of our IG stories after they disappear from IG, plus extended versions of our stories with unseen, unpublished footage. In addition, first dibs on any new zines /merch before they are made available to the general public. Also also, any purchase thru our webstore by a patron will include a special free gift, available only to patrons (please message your Patreon account after purchase so we know to include.)
Promotional
$150 or more per month
Wow, your support really means a lot to us and is truly helpful in allowing us to continue to live our lives as artists and produce the sorta content that inspires us. In addition to all the perks of the $1.50 and $5 tiers, you'll receive one shoutout/promotion per month in our IG story. It can be to follow your personal page or to promote your project/merch/business, whatever's clever. The only stipulation is that you/what you are promoting isn't racist /sexist /homophobic /transphobic etc, isn't political or religious, doesn't involve anything against the welfare of animals or the environment (we are vegan so nothing involving the use of animal products/byproducts) and isn't otherwise lame, offensive or problematic. We have a following of over 125K on Instagram, and people ask us all the time about promoting stuff, so we figured this would be a good, mutually beneficial way to go about it. Your content will reach a wide audience thru our story, we'll continue making the art we love, it's win-win. If you purchase this tier please message us to discuss the what's and when's of your story post. Thanks!
