I live a different life. And, I can't put a value to my time, in fact I don't, ever. When I have things to offer I tell people to pay me what they are happy to pay.
The same goes with Patreon. With Winter and the animals, I need to raise about $200 a month to cover living costs, at the moment I am surviving on $70.
All the same, I ask, if you are going to sponsor my channel, pay what you will, it will all be gratefully received.
So, what do you get for you patronage?
- Access to my patron only stream
- First call on my craft sales. I'll announce them on my Patreon subscriber only channel first, with most things being one offs this gives you the chance to buy before an item goes..
I'm Mike, a Brit, living in Latvia and, have done so for the last twelve or so years.
Recent events lead to a radical change in my lifestyle, so, deciding to embrace things rather than fight them I am preparing to head off around Europe in a horse drawn caravan.
Of course, to do so I need a caravan, so, I am in the process of building the fifth version of my home (the first four allowed me to survive winter when temperatures dropped to -30 centigrade and try out different ideas.)
Accompanying me on my journey are Jeb and Charlie, my two dogs, in addition I have Dave, Stan, Audrey and, the nameless one, my goats and, not forgetting Bill, my bull calf that I am raising and training to be my power to move the vardo.
My channel will consist of posts about my daily life, videos on how things are done and of course the progress of the vardo build. In addition, once I am on the road I will keep a running commentary on the places and people that I come across.
The funds that I raise from this channel will go towards the purchase of feed for the animals (and myself of course), and other essential running costs to cover the start of the adventure.
All I ask is for $1 a month, although of course, if you wish, you can pay more. In return I'll drag you along on my journey around Europe.
So, thanks for visiting my page, I look forward to sharing my experiences with you over the coming years.
I'll also look at creating a regular weekly video story of events and suchlike!
