In a country where politicians cannot take a joke and defamation cases are filed at the drop of a hat - satire is a tough job to do. Yet, thanks to a small band of dedicated supporters, we are willing and confident about taking the next big leap. In the election year we are getting louder, bolder, more frequent and zanier than before. We’ll get you the facts, the fake news busting, the explainers, the opinions from every side of the argument - and maybe even a few smiles in the process. We not may be able to change a lot of things in the country - but we promise to be the voice of sanity & satire!!!

INDEPENDENCE & CONVERSATIONS

While we fool around and make the Mickey of others and ourselves, there will be two factors that will drive The DeshBhakt; independence of the platform and a creating a safe space for conversations and interactions.

In an age where the independence of the media has been severely compromised - it’s critical that we retain this key element; conjunct to this is the ability to have a free conversation - regardless of what party or -ism you support. All ideas and views a welcome - they may not be what I ascribe to - but they are welcome.

Disclaimer! - I am biased, especially against bigotry, hate, divisive politics, nepotism, broken promises, corruption, non-performance and political theatrics. (I do however have a soft corner for those who understand humour and are sporty enough to appreciate satire :)
