My name is Vijayendra Mohanty and I am a storyteller. Among my works are the comic book series Ravanayan and the Youtube channel Epified. My work on Ravanayan has been featured in publications such as The New Indian Express, The Hindu, Bleeding Cool, and many others. The video channel Epified has been mentioned in The New Indian Express and has also been the subject of a TEDx talk by me.

What is all this?

I tell stories. And the stories I tell have to do with magic, monsters, mythology, extra-dimensional intelligences, self-aware machines, ancient aliens, odd gods, medieval mysteries, and far-future fantasies.

Why am I on Patreon? Why ask for money? Why not just put up my work up on the web for free so more people can read it?

First of all, money is good. Writers need money just like everyone else. So this is my way of emphasising that there is nothing wrong with making money from creative work.

Secondly, I do put out my work on the web for anyone to access. But I am also interested in building a base of subscribers who value my work. I do the things I do because I love to. I would write commentaries and essays and stories and make podcast episodes and videos even if nobody was paying me anything. You becoming a patron is simply a way for you to show support for my projects.
