About Yeshe Matthews

The Mt Shasta Goddess Temple is a living mandala honoring the Goddess of 10,000 Names with offerings of divination, ceremonies, teachings, Priestess training, and retreats. Priestess Yeshe Matthews creates experiences and services to help people connect with the primal female force of life, death, and rebirth, with over 20 years of experience studying and practicing spiritual traditions from all over the world, including Siberian and Tibetan shamanism, Tibetan Buddhism, Ifa, Mayan Cosmology, Marian devotion, and contemporary Goddess Spirituality.

Our eco-feminist Temple honors the Earth, especially beloved Mt Shasta and her sacred waters, as the Mother of All, and we also make pilgrimages to sacred wells, healing springs, and other holy sites worldwide. We place a significant emphasis on ancestral healing and devotion to women's mysteries in our ceremonies and projects.

Our Temple welcomes Goddess and women's spirituality practitioners from any geographic location to become members, and offers several different ways to connect with Temple classes, projects, and ceremonies.

Projects of the Mt Shasta Goddess Temple that are free and open to the public include:

Goddess Without Borders
Facebook group for sharing stories of women's leadership & empowerment as well as goddess research and mythos. A mostly non-commercial and very supportive group.

Order of the Black Madonna
Devotees of the holy mother, creating interfaith community service initiatives and contemplative practices. Contact the Order directly for membership via their website.

Skydancer Sangha
A Facebook group for the community of participants in Yeshe's daily online Kuan Yin Practice Monday-Friday at 10:30am Pacific.

The Witch's Garden
A Facebook group and in-person karma yoga experience at The Sacred Well shop. Together, we learn about magical and mythic uses of plant medicine and the formation of relationships with plant allies. Sharing herbal recipes, home remedies, and lore. For those who would like to attend in-person karma yoga sessions in Dunsmuir, please sign up to receive our newsletter on the Mt Shasta Goddess Temple website. We work in the garden and drink tea, wearing big fancy hats.

Community ceremonies in Mt Shasta

Mandala of Stars I & II

Skydancer Center for Female Mysticism
Offers local and online classes, workshops, lectures, ceremonies, and gatherings that support women’s mysteries, rituals, and ways of knowing. Special focus is placed on practices rooted in the female body, its unique rites of passage, and its intuitive nature. Some events are open to all, others are women only.

Priestess Training
Woman Shaman Priestess is a 12-month journey of discovery, featuring video conferences, in-person retreats, and e-mailed weekly lessons to help students connect with spiritual practices, gather and bless sacred tools, establish relationships with goddesses and guides, and learn about authentic historical and contemporary female spiritual lineages of shamans, priestesses, and practitioners. The next cycle of priestess training begins in January 2020, and is available to those who support this Patreon at the $60 Woman Shaman Priestess level.

For those who have completed Woman Shaman Priestess, the Temple also offers a second journey around the Mandala with Flight of the Skydancer training. This training is designed to deepen each woman's connection and trust with her spiritual allies and Goddesses, to help her commune with nature, and to bring forward her own power and leadership skills. In this training, Priestesses develop an advanced set of tools, begin to commit more fully to relationships with ancestral and spirit teachers, and begin to see significant shifts in their lives that draw them nearer to their path of joyful service. The next cycle of Skydancer training begins in January 2020, and is open to those who have completed Woman Shaman Priestess and who subscribe to this Patreon at the $65 Flight of the Skydancer level.

When students have completed Priestess training with two years of Lessons, activities, tools, skills, and ceremonies, and have taken their vows as Priestesses of the Temple, they are invited to join our Council of Wisewomen. This supportive group meets monthly, helps to create the Temple's offerings, pilgrimages, and retreats, and contributes to the Temple's body of knowledge and experience.

Private Sessions
Personal, monthly divination or consultation sessions with Yeshe to discuss life, priestesshood, spiritual growth, or related topics are available for Temple members who support this Patreon at the $108 level or above. This is a great option for those who are in times of transformation, for those who want to go deeper with Woman Shaman Priestess Training, or those who are leaders or healers and need sacred space with another experienced practitioner to talk about issues that arise.

Goals
90% complete
$2500 per month helps the Mt Shasta Goddess Temple to grow and sustain itself, offering more services and supporting more practitioners worldwide. At this level of support, we can maintain the costs of our shrines and practices, and we can provide assistance to low income and vulnerable women who wish to attend our events, visit the Temple, and participate in our classes. $2500 per month will also support Temple Priestess Yeshe's pilgrimages to sacred sites, where she studies, teaches, performs ceremonies, and takes photographs to share with the world. She will bring you with her on her journeys with gratitude for your support, and will offer special perks, such as exclusive content, prayers said at holy places, vials of holy water, and more. Finally, $2500 per month provides the necessary funds for the Mt Shasta Goddess Temple to rent or buy a public space for our shrines, and to host practices, retreats, and the 1000 statues of Kuan Yin.
